Advisory Panel

In September 2010, the TKF Foundation brought together an outstanding group of researchers and professionals from the fields of social, ecological and medical science, urban planning, landscape design, conservation, and community change for a rich conversation about the potential of Open Spaces Sacred Places to change human lives and the way we experience the cities we inhabit. As TKF prepares to launch a new national grants initiative to spend out the assets of the foundation, the Foundation convened this National Advisory Panel to provide critical input and advice on conceptualizing the grant program and structuring the call for proposals in order to maximize impact.

    About Us

We are a private nonprofit that supports, informs, and inspires the creation of publicly accessible urban green spaces. We believe that every city resident needs nearby green space to provide opportunities for mindfulness, respite, and renewal. The Foundation has issued its final grants to build five Open Spaces Sacred Places and research the impacts on a variety of users with the hope that the powerful connection between nature, spirit and human wellbeing will be scientifically proven.
