Hands-On Helping:  Summer Build
Pomegranate Center helps shape resilient, collaborative communities.   Join them in Prescott, a small town near Walla Walla, WA. Together with the community, they will be transforming a small burned out lot into a beautiful gathering place. The design features reclaimed materials from nearby farms, a stage, lighting, windbreaks, gateways, banners, tables, seating, and many garden spaces.  They are looking for skilled craftspeople, enthusiastic DIY-ers, and weekend warriors to join the team for some sweating, art-making and old-fashioned barn raising fun.  The deadline to apply is May 28, 2014.  Click here to register.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga at Shaw Nature Reserve
Practicing yoga in this serene, natural setting will help you to become a more focused, relaxed, and happier you. Vinyasa Yoga concentrates on connecting the Ujjayi breath as you flow from one movement to the next and brings awareness to the present as you release tension & anxiety with every exhale.

Fall 2014 Grant Workshop – Neighborhood Greening
Neighborhood Greening and Clean Water grant funding opportunity available for community-led greening and water quality projects. Projects may include vacant lot restoration, community gardens, rain gardens, tree plantings, schoolyard greening, water quality improvement and more!
