Reverend Jennifer Allen

Rev. Jenn Allen is the Diocesan Missioner of the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas. She oversees Bethany House and Garden, an innovative ministry “focused on going out into the neighborhood and meeting people where they are – physically and spiritually”.

The gardens were designed in response to feedback from neighbors, local schools, and civic organizations. They include space for healing and meditation, learning, and a culinary garden. Jenn is working with local schools and food pantries as well. One third of the produce from the culinary garden will be given to a neighboring church for their fruit and vegetable pantry, one third to a local culinary school and one third to neighbors.

I want people to experience the wholeness of themselves in nature

Jenn has seen what a community can do, and is a believer in the healing power of nature as a catalyst for community health and wellbeing.
