About this Sacred Place
Nature Sacred partnered with The Arc to complete three phases in creating a Sensory Garden. The garden creates a place of sanctuary for Arc staff and a place of opportunity to experience the healing power of nature for more than 75 individuals who have developmental disabilities. It is the first space that Nature Sacred helped to create that is located within a large business park location that bustles with activity, especially during the midday hours with people out walking in large numbers. The Arc sees the garden as an opportunity to invite the public to take pause in the garden and at the same time, hopes to foster a stronger relationship with the individuals who attend their program. The surrounding community is invited into the space with signage explaining the garden, along with a path leading from the main pedestrian sidewalk into the space.
