Urban Resilience

Urban resilience has been defined as the capacity of people, communities and institutions within a city to survive, adapt and grow regardless of the stresses, or even shocks, they experience. Recent years have seen the emergence of city resilience plans. While multifaceted, most include nature — an issue of public health, and of community cohesion. Modern cities understand that meaningful greenspaces are integral to urban planning for long term health and harmony.
