Disaster Recovery

Extreme weather is on the rise. And scientists are warning that, due to global warming, the trend is likely to continue. From hurricanes to floods to tornadoes; they’ve claimed thousands of lives and billions of dollars in recent years. And the trauma lasts much longer than the national attention given the events. There’s a growing understanding of the power of nature to help individuals - as well as communities - heal following disasters like Hurricane Harvey and Sandy - and the F5 tornado that flattened parts of Joplin, Missouri a few years ago.
