Colin Smith


Colin Smith serves as the Director of Strategy and Economic Development for Bon Secours Community Works. In his role, Colin is responsible for the administration and operations of all economic development programs, including job training programs, financial capability training, food access services, violence reduction initiatives and returning citizen services. In addition to his responsibilities overseeing a service delivery department, Colin is responsible for operational planning and strategic planning efforts across the organization. During his tenure at Bon Secours Community Works, Colin has led efforts to grow the organization’s workforce, drive outcome-based programming, and increase its grant funded revenue for essential capital and operations initiatives linked to strategic priorities. Colin Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts from Goucher College and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland.

Nature is such an important part of holistic wellness and health. I am honored to play a small part in working alongside our inspiring West Baltimore community members to build out urban farms, parks, and other sacred places that give the community places for gathering, growth, and tranquility.
