Cheryl Tyiska

Cheryl is the Manager of historic Mount Olivet Cemetery and St. Mary’s Cemetery. She is a certified Catholic Cemetery Executive with the Catholic Cemetery Conference.

As manager of two historic cemeteries, Cheryl is responsible for all aspects of operations for inside administrative staff as well as outside ground crews, with a special focus on ensuring that families who come to the Cemetery to bury their loved ones or to visit are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

For me, being a Firesoul as an integral part of my ministry, and I want to share with others my passion for the sacred nature and history of the cemetery grounds, particularly for the prayer garden where many marginalized people were buried.

Cheryl works hard to ensure that members of the community know they are welcome to come here to reflect and hopefully find peace and solace in nature.
