Kendra Hazel


Kendra Hazel was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She is passionate about teaching people how to utilize green spaces for their mental health, and to show them how to sustain with natural resources.

Nature is important because it’s so free and liberating. It allows us to explore things in so many ways with no limits.

Kendra serves as Manager for City Blossoms Community Green Space Program. In this program, and with a focus on youth engagement, she facilitate free weekly garden programs throughout the D.C. area, working to expand the reach of nature’s benefits to communities across the city.

Tom Banks serves as Executive Director of the Gadsden Cultural Arts Foundation in Gadsden, AL. He oversees a number of programs initiatives including the Mary G.
