Shira Goodman


With three years of experience in managing community gardens elsewhere, Shira joined the Filbert Street team as Internal Relations Coordinator and manager of the production garden in March of 2023. Her timely addition to the Filbert Street team perfectly coincided with the beginning of the Sacred Place design and development there.

Especially in an urban environment where many folks only have postage stamp sized yards, its important to me that neighborhoods have a safe space for getting their hands dirty, building relationships and doing good in the community.

Dick began his journey towards becoming a Firesoul back in 2017 when he co-founded a Pollinator Micro-Habitat/Garden Classroom on the Mt. Royal Elementary Middle School campus in his Bolton Hill, Baltimore neighborhood.
