In her 20+ years in landscape architecture, Heidi Thomas has sought to explore and examine the intersectional dynamics between people and place. Prioritizing inclusive engagement and equitable design strategies that serve underrepresented communities, she founded EnviroCollab in 2018 as a response to inequities in the field, and as a challenge to injustices in the built environment. EnviroCollab is a women-owned landscape architecture, urban planning, and social design co-operative focused on projects centering social equity, environmental justice, and cultural sustainability.
