About this Sacred Place
This beautiful Sacred Place emerged from a partnership between the Cherokee County Civitan Club and the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Weiss Lake is an excellent spot for fishing and other recreational activities on the water, but it also offers many spots for reflection and tranquility. The Sacred Place is nestled into a scenic overlook of Weiss Lake, tucked away from city noises. Visitors can come to think, reflect, or have a picnic in a peaceful silence apart from the quiet nature sounds. Designed for use by its community, the site will support fellowship and neighborhood gatherings—and work to promote a sense of agency and pride in the area.
