Sheila Mobley


Shelia Mobley is a dedicated community leader in Centre, AL. She is responsible for organizing numerous community events and programs at the Hopewell Community Center, often incorporating Crossroads Garden, just adjacent to the building, into her events. Alongside her late co-Firesoul, Ms. Edna Jennings, Shelia has built something truly special. The garden is not only a place beautiful space of respite, it symbolizes the strong bond within this community. From Veteran’s Day celebrations, holidays, community days and more, Edna and Shelia’s dedication to activating their Sacred Place had and continues to have a ripple effect in the community. Shelia is dedicated to carry on Edna’s legacy through the continued care of their beloved Sacred Place.
