Did you know that there are more than 17 Sacred Places in and around our nation’s capital? From urban farms like Marvin Gaye Greening Center and community gardens such as Wangari Gardens, to labyrinths at Georgetown Waterfront Park and The American Psychological Association Rooftop, Sacred Places are popping up all across the city!
We have created a new map that concentrates specifically on D.C. sites. It offers a quick snapshot impression of how the sites are scattered around the city while also listing each with its address and, where applicable, a color-coded icon denoting whether or not the space includes a labyrinth, is located within a community park, or if the space is a healing-, memorial- or rooftop garden.
We invite you to download the map – and explore the D.C. Sacred Places. Once there, remember to snap a picture and either post it to social, tagging @naturesacred — or even email it to us.
