Sacred Place Project Manager
Reports to: Chief Mission Officer
Status: Full-Time
Location: Annapolis / Baltimore / Washington, DC Area — Hybrid
(At least 3 days per week in the Annapolis office, as project schedules and site visits allow; some evening and weekend hours required.)
Position Overview
The Sacred Place Project Manager provides operational and project management support for Nature Sacred’s Sacred Place projects nationwide. Reporting to the Chief Mission Officer, this role ensures smooth execution of project logistics, design meetings, engagement events, and administrative tasks. The Manager plays a central role in coordinating schedules, maintaining project documentation, and supporting community engagement processes, allowing the Chief Mission Officer and broader team to focus on strategy, design innovation, and high-level decision-making. This position is critical to keeping Sacred Place projects on track, well-organized, and aligned with Nature Sacred’s community-led design model.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Management
- Assist in the planning and management of Sacred Place projects from initiation through completion.
- Maintain project timelines, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring all tasks stay on track and aligned with strategic goals.
- Support budget tracking, expense documentation, and consultant coordination in partnership with the Chief Mission Officer.
- Serve as the point of contact for internal project team members and external partners regarding scheduling, meeting logistics, and project documentation.
- Monitor project milestones and provide status updates to the Chief Mission Officer and leadership team.
Design Meetings & Engagement Events
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate design meetings, community workshops, and engagement events, ensuring seamless execution and participant readiness.
- Support preparation of materials, agendas, and presentations for meetings and workshops.
- Document meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups to ensure accountability and alignment across project teams.
- Assist with the logistics of site visits, grand openings, and other public or community-facing events.
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized project files, shared drives, and documentation systems for all Sacred Place projects.
- Track communications, deliverables, and deadlines for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports, briefing materials, and presentations to support project and departmental planning.
- Coordinate with the Network Programs team to ensure engagement and onboarding materials are aligned with project timelines and events.
Collaboration
- At the direction of the Chief Mission Officer, work closely with Network Programs, and other internal teams to ensure project efficiency, alignment, and timely delivery.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, community partners, and Firesouls to coordinate schedules, deliverables, and event logistics.
- Support cross-team communication to ensure all project stakeholders have access to relevant information and resources.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, project coordination, program management, or event/engagement logistics, ideally in a nonprofit, design, or community-based context.
- Experience supporting capital projects, community engagement, or collaborative design preferred.
- Strong aptitude for managing budgets, timelines, schedules, and relationships.
Location
- Annapolis / Baltimore / Washington, DC Area — Hybrid
(At least 3 days per week in the Annapolis office as events and site visits allow; some evening and weekend hours required.) - Typical office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; duties will likely require additional evening and weekend hours for site visits, events, staff retreats, and other activities.
Compensation
- Salary is commensurate with experience / $65,000 – $72,500
