About this Sacred Place
Located in Tylerton, Md., Smith Island is one of CBF’s island education centers, where it hosts educational programs for school-age children that blend island culture and ecology to showcase a traditional watermen’s society.
The bench placed here is adjacent to the fire circle, which is sometimes children’s first exposure to a campfire. From the bench itself, views unfold of both the island and the Bay.
