Laura Tiffany

Laura is a graduate student at the George Washington University studying public health and medicine. On the weekends when she’s not working at the hospital, Laura enjoys spending time gardening with other volunteers adn members at Luther Place.

Because I spend most of my time in windowless classrooms and hospitals, it has always been important to me to spend time outside whenever possible. In fact, when she was an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, her favorite place on campus to study was in the garden outside of the Memorial Chapel – The Garden of Reflection and Remembrance. It wasn’t until recently that she found out it was a Sacred Place!

I’m excited to be part of creating a new Sacred Place at Luther Place. Maybe students and young professionals will see the Luther Place gardens and Nature Sacred bench as a nice place to study or read among the bustle of the city, just how I enjoyed the Garden of Reflection and Remembrance at the University of Maryland.
