Peter Bleich


Peter is Bon Secours Community Works Program Manager for Parks and Open Space, proudly supporting neighbors in Baltimore’s 21223 region in numerous community-led projects.

Peter supports Project Development for all five Bon Secours sites. His role in supporting the Firesouls for these sites includes community engagement, design creation and budget estimation, fundraising, contracting development and facilitating in-kind sweat equity site work, as well as maintenance/stewardship/programming support.

The community concept is to create a synergy between resident’s cherished pastimes and the serenity prayer. The plan includes a horseshoe pit area (most popular past time of the block) and a “serenity garden.”

Bon Secours Community Works (BSCW) works to enrich West Baltimore communities with programs and services that contribute to the long-term economic and social viability of neighborhoods.

Urban Farm, in partnership with Bon Secours Community Works

While the Urban Farm was built for growing and distributing food to the neighborhood, the community also wanted to create an area specifically aimed towards providing a place for their community to come enjoy. They envisioned a space where perennial herbs grew thick enough to smell, where bright flowers grew all season long, and where neighbors could sit and relax: a place of respite and conversation.
