Intersection of Change is a community-based non-profit in Baltimore, MD founded in 1996 to address poverty-related challenges in Baltimore’s Sandtown-Winchester, Upton, and surrounding communities. It is dedicated to providing programs that enrich the economic, social, and spiritual lives of those dealing with poverty-related issues in our Sandtown-Winchester, Upton, and surrounding communities.
Martha's Place, a recovery program for women, houses a lush garden for contemplation and serenity. Done in partnership with Intersection of Change, this Sacred Place serves the residents of Sandtown-Winchester and surrounding communities in West Baltimore.
With a meditative garden, restful seating areas, and a massive mural inscribed with the names of those community members lost due to drug use and violence, the Choose Life Memorial Garden is truly a dedicated space to healing its community.
Jubilee Arts is a community program providing arts classes to the residents of the Sandtown-Winchester, Upton, and surrounding neighborhoods in Baltimore, Maryland. Jubilee Arts is located on Pennsylvania Avenue, an area with a rich history of African-American culture, and is helping to bring the arts back to life in the community.
The Strength to Love II farm is a visible symbol of transformation in the community, a successful conversion of vacant land into an operational farm by growing organic produce for local consumption.
