About this Sacred Place
The Annapolis Waterworks Park is a passive recreational facility operated by the Annapolis Department of Recreation and Parks. This 500-acre park is situated one mile west of the Annapolis Mall and is one of the few open-space resources in the area, which provides the public with hiking trails and places to picnic and fish. The Sacred Place is located on a secluded lake overlook, thus creating a quiet, contemplative environment. The only views and sounds are that of the nature surrounding the space. A nearby pavilion is a popular spot for gatherings and events in the park.
