Rayne O’May

For over a decade, Rayne has been a resident of the Barclay/Old Goucher neighborhood of Baltimore City. At Marian House, she is responsible for managing grants and compliance, as well as other duties assigned, such as camping and movie nights! Nature is intrinsically tied to who she is and how she lives her life. Rayne describes herself as a dedicated orchid lover, and loves to sunbathe much like a cat.

Marian House’s courtyard is a vibrant space to feel the air and feel safe; Nature Sacred helps women here reconnect to the environment.

My Sacred Place

Marian House Courtyard

The mission of Marian House is to nurture self-esteem and give troubled women the tools they need to realize their full potential. The Outdoor Sculpture Garden came into being as an outgrowth of the work of Marian House. Four 6 ½ foot tall female caryatids sculpted in marble are mounted on the front façade of the large brick building.

My Sacred Place

Geckle Memorial Garden

A cheery courtyard space that offers gathering, respite, and play opportunities for the women, children, and staff at Marian House Independence Place.
