Tammy Perry


Tammy is the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Heflin, AL. Tammy has served the city of over 25 years, and was named the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association Professional of the Year in 2021. Her lifelong passion for outdoor recreation, and her dedication to ensuring her community has access to outdoor recreation opportunities speaks to her true Firesoul spirit.

Community Restorative Garden and Dog Run, in partnership with CFNEA

While the City of Heflin has much to boast—proximity to the South Appalachian Mountains, a nearby Watershed, community recreation opportunities, to name a few—it seeks to infuse a Sacred Place to encourage mindful reflection, healing, stress reduction and mood enhancement.
