About this Sacred Place
Often known as Leon Wolfe Park, this Sacred Place is nestled within a street-end park that was in dire need of an updated design and renovation. It is a quiet place for contemplation and an environmentally proactive rain garden, a model for all Annapolis street-end parks. Features include plants designed to capture and filter the run-off and trash that currently pollute Spa Creek, along with a historical accent on the site’s history as the location of the original bridge connecting Eastport and Annapolis. The view from the space is that of downtown, the Naval Academy, and the calming waters of Spa Creek.
