About this Sacred Place
Baltimore Community Mediation Program provides free mediation services, teaches conflict resolution skills, mobilizes volunteer community mediators and educates the public. By making mediation and other nonviolent conflict resolution strategies more accessible in Baltimore City, the Community Mediation Program reduces violence and interpersonal conflict and animosity while improving communication all across Baltimore City. This neighborhood desperately needed a green space that would support and reaffirm the residents’ dedication to a peaceful existence. The beautiful and environmentally-friendly designed Peace Garden has made this need a reality. The Peace Garden is used as the centerpiece for mediation sessions, as well a place for staff to take a breath and regroup and neighbors, community supporters, community groups and others to enjoy.
